i have been meaning to write for a while, but have been too busy. Anyhow, firstly, thanks for such great info.; I have been using lots of your advice over the past few weeks to create my ne blog. However, dependign on the screen resolution, the alignment of the blog changes - sometimes it looks great and left-aligned, then on another monitor with a different resolution, everything is moved across to the right! Although this is not particularly serious, it is annoying, and a shame, as I am happy with the rest of the blog. I reckon that I need to change the spacing in the HTML coding, but I don;t want to tamper with it before consulting the expert!

I have one question Amanda, how do I change my font for the title of the blog in the header to something other than what is available in the colours and fonts section of 'layouts?'

I have had great use of several of them. I have however a few comments on a couple of different tutorials. Hence that I add it as comment here.
1. About changing title
I made a similar solution to my blog recently as your:
www.bloggerbuster.com/2008/05/change-title-tags-for-your-blog.html
However I noticed a small problem with myc solution. Maybe the problem was "local" to something I had made earlier to my code but if not your solution probably have the same problem.
You as me checks if pageType is index. If not we set title to pageName. The problem is that pageName can be the empty string. The case I noticed for this is pages created through search. For example on my blog pageName would be empty for:
www.pryltrend.com/search?updated-max=2008-12-21T12%3A11%3A00%2B01%3A00&max-results=10
However if we look at pages such as:
www.pryltrend.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
We do not have this problem and pageName is month + year.
I solved this using the following solution:

<title>Pryltrend.com</title>

Which seems to work for my blog. However if I get to check that problem only occurs on pages created by search I will probably handle that specific adding some text to the title describing the purpose of the page such as "Date archive" or similar.
2. Post summaries
Also big thanks for your manual about how to add summary in archive and front page of posts. It saved a lot of time for me! Gave it a link from my other blog abut blog-stuff.
A simple thing I added after that solution was to not clear floats on the front page. Hence it is easier to keep images in the summary since you dont get a lot of white spaces to keep the image from "floating" down.
I made this by changing:
<div class='clear'/>
To:
<b:if cond='data:blog.url != data:blog.homepageUrl'>
<div class='clear'/>
</b:if>
You can see on Pryltrend.com how it will be.
Here of course I only use post summaries on the front page. If you also use them on archive pages you would want to check if it such a page also.
