I'm using the "sunset" template on my blog geek-more.com. I've edited it a lot but I have one small problem.

I would like to remove the orange line below the title/description on the header.

Both templates (stretch and three column) should be ready later this week, in both blue and green designs, so be sure to check back for updates!

For the calendar widget to work, you need to change the date header in the Settings>Formatting section of your dashboard. The date needs to be in yyyy-mm-dd format, which would make it appear like this: 2008-03-24 or similar.

In my original template, I had chosen not to show labels and to show links to my posts. I noticed that this new template showed my labels and did not show links to my posts, so I went to configure my blog posts.

No matter how many times I check and uncheck the proper areas in the "Configure blog posts" window and save my changes, none of these changes show up when I view my blog. I know the changes are staying saved, because things are how I want them to be in the "configure blog posts" window - the changes just aren't registering. Do you know why this is happening and how I could fix it? My blog's URL is http://alibrarygirl.blogspot.com/ if that helps any.

I ended up making the blog a test blog first, copying my widgets over manually, then changing the name of the test blog after I deleted the original. It was more labor intensive, but I've got two kids, so it was easier than reading through all the HTML! :)

Just wanted to share something with you. I used redsilver (web2.0) template on my blog.

When I added ads on my blog(http://moneychurner.blogspot) and saved the template, i had this message:
"More than one widget was found with id: Feed2. Widget IDs should be unique."

I couldn't save the template. Then I went through the code and found that id Feed2 was used more than once. Rectified it. Maybe you want to update on your side as well.

Thank you for this post. I love wordpress themes but have a blooger beta blog. I currently have the DarkDots 3 column template & I hate it. So, when i saw the Super Custom Template I was thrilled. It has the columns I want (although I may need 4 now) & best of all it has the 3 columns in the footer that I love so much from word press templates.

I downloaded this template, but there is a problem. The red navigation bar will not change colors no matter what i try & my blogger navigation bar does not show. Also, how can I put my own background color/texture on this?

I am a newbie & know nothing about editing HTML. I want to put my own picture in the header & have better colors than those that are offered. Any advice? Also the footer colors do not change.

Please help. I am at my wits end. or at least can you direct me to someone who would do a custom template for cheap?

I am truly sorry that I was unable to contact you sooner. I was without a computer until yesterday and emailed you back as soon as I read your email and established the cause. At the moment I have not received a reply from you, so please let me know if you have received this email or not as I attached a modified version of the template which should now work for you.

The issue with both this and dozens of other Blogger templates is due to some changes with the Blogger post editor to restrict the way third party templates are parsed (I only discovered this today!).

The Blogger Team are fully aware of the issue and promise a fix soon though as you may be aware it is almost impossible to contact Blogger support directly.

The "Fix" which seems to work at the moment is to change the ID numbers of all widgets contained in the problem templates by editing the XML file and uploading this instead. I have done this for the Planet Play template and emailed you the revised version. I will also be writing up a post about this soon.

I hope this revised version works for you. Please do let me know if you received my email or not otherwise I can send this again for you.

Like who can change & who can't.
There is also option to hide & show comments as well.
Check that as well, If u r using blogspot-dashboard.

I noticed that many of you have wanted to change the RED background color of the navigation bar on the Super Custom template. I've just figured it out!

Find the following section in your HTML code:

#outer-navbar-section {
background: #f00;
clear: both;

overflow: hidden; /* fix for long non-text content breaking IE sidebar float */

Note this part: "background: #f00" This is the RED background color. Do an online search for Hex Colors and you can replace the "#f00" with any color you like. I am currently using a brown color (#6f3c1b), which blends in with my background color.

So, this is what my HTML code looks like now:
#outer-navbar-section {
background: #6f3c1b;
clear: both;
word-wrap: break-word; /* fix for long text breaking sidebar float in IE */
overflow: hidden; /* fix for long non-text content breaking IE sidebar float */
}

I loved the super custom. However, I have problems.
1, I get an error message about the date. I tried to change the date format as you instructed someone else here, but the error still exists.
