To use this widget in your blog, head over to Blogger Templates and choose your options, including the Blog*Spot url of your blog. Click "apply" then "Add widget to my blog".
You will then be taken to your Blogger dashboard where you can automatically insert this widget into your Blogger layout. If you have a custom domain, you can still use this widget! Simply go to Template>Page elements in your Blogger dashboard and open up the recent comments widget. The code should look like this:
<script style="text/javascript" src="http://giga.ovh.org/rc"></script><script style="text/javascript">var a_rc=3;var m_rc=true;var n_rc=true;var o_rc=100;</script><script src="http://yourblog.blogspot.com/feeds/comments/default?alt=json-in-script&callback=showrecentcomments"></script>You need to change only the red section of the URL to your custom domain URL (eg: http://www.yourblog.com). Click save and you should then see your recent comments appear.

Does anyone know of a widget/plugin/script for Blogger that will display most viewed posts?
Thanks!
Lance

I've been searching for a script like this too, Lance. The widget for this commonly seen in Wordpress blogs uses Wordpress' statistics to deduce the most popular posts, whereas Blogger does not yet feature in-built stats for pages. Such a widget would then be dependent on Google Analytics or similar service. I'll keep looking and experimenting. If anyone knows of such a script, please let us know! ;)
I've just posted about a "popular posts" widget from AffiliateBrand.com which I've now implemented into my sidebar. You can read about this here.
Hope this is useful for those searching for such a widget!
I really enjoyed this code but too bad THIS CODE NO LONGER WORKS! I hope it can be updated
Yes, the widget has just stopped working in IE7, but still works in Firefox.
This is quite odd isn't it? I think the script is inaccessible, either because it's been removed or the hosting has exceeded bandwidth. I can only assume that the IE problem is happening because Firefox caches scripts (and images) for longer than IE.
Anyway...
The good news is that I'm working on an alternative right now. It should be ready later today for you to use, so check back for updates later!
Already done! If you need to update the code for your "Recent Comments" widget, you can get the new code here:

I've uploaded the javascript to my own host, and tested in both IE and Firefox. Please let me know if there are any problems with this.

Hi.
I couldn't get it to work either (maybe non-standard layout I'm using?) but can be done with RSS as per below:
