9 More site changes (and opinions needed!)

As many of you will have already noticed, I have recently created a new site for Bloggers: Blogger Buster Tools. This sub-domain features loads of useful tools for bloggers, so please take a look if you haven't already visited!

I will shortly be redesigning the header for this blog to include a button link to this great resource site to replace the "about" and "contact" buttons. I also have another idea which I would greatly appreciate your opinions on...

As I now have quite a selection of templates available for download, I am considering creating a new blog hosted on a sub-domain of Blogger Buster to showcase only the templates. I think this will make it much easier for you all to search through templates by theme. It will also make it easier for me to provide the templates as text files which you can copy and paste. This new blog will be available from this main site, and also on it's own sub-domain (something like templates.bloggerbuster.com). Of course, I will still announce new templates here on the main site too!

I would greatly appreciate your opinions on this, so please leave your comments below. If there is support for this change to the site, then you will be able to access the new "Blogger Buster Templates" blog in the next week or so, as I am able to write the new posts.

Also, I would like to thank everyone who voted in the recent poll regarding template designs. I am listening to your opinions, and am currently developing a few new templates to meet your demands! These will be available shortly, and will be announced here on site.

If anyone has particular requests for a theme or style of template, please do get in touch and let me know.

  1. Replacing the About and Contact buttons to link to the resource site is a good idea.

    I just think the colors should contrast more. Since the logo of Blogger Buster is already red-white-black... the image for the resource/template subdomain should be different to highlight it more. :)

    Also, designing a web 2.0-ish template for you blog could also be a good idea. It could give it a more polished look. :)

    Thanks for the suggestions. I'm experimenting with web 2.0 design right now in a new template design, and think it could well be used to great effect for this blog too.

    I'm considering making this blog, the tools site and the prospective "templates" blog all have a very similar design, with navigation buttons just beneath the headers to help you understand which part of the site you're on. This would possibly integrate all areas of Blogger Buster (main blog, tools and templates) in one easily navigatable site.

    Of course, this would be a MAJOR change, and still needs a lot of planning before I implement the changes.

    The nest couple of templates I'm designing incorporate a few of the techniques and methods I may well introduce here, so once I'm sure of what I'm doing I'll be making the new "Blogger Buster" design.

    BTW, your (test) blog design is inspiring! Can't wait to see it up and running on the main site :)

    I already have it running in my blog. Changes still need to happen. I'm still not satisfied. Hahaha.

    Anyway, I'm getting excited for your new template. True, a web 2.0-like design for Blogger Buster and its subdomains will really be a good idea, considering you offer hacks, tips and templates. Your blog, being eye-candy will make your visitors want to come back over and over. ;)

It does help me a lot knowing that you have shared this information here freely. I love the way the people here interact and shared their opinions too.
