The same issue affects some of my other gadgets too: most notably, the Flickr, Picasa, TwitPic and Juitter gadgets.
As far as I can tell right now, this issue stems from a sudden, random error affecting any gadgets utilizing User Preferences. These issues do not seem to be affecting every blog in which such gadgets are installed.
The Blogger Team are aware of the issue and are investigating now. I'm also testing various changes to user preferences for my gadgets to see if a different solution to registering user preferences could resolve the issue for my gadgets.
I anyone is still receiving errors when using their Twitter Updates gadget (particularly if this displays tweets from @undefined's stream) please do let me know in the comments or send me an email.

TweetMeMe gives me fits on my Blogger blog. It doesn't show the tweets and retweets accurately. It shows zero no matter how many there are.

Hi Amanda, I'm using this g8t widget of yours. But when i entered my username 'hmar' in the search area, i'm getting tweets from other twitters wo posted the word 'hmar'. Can we have the same widget only for username...? with the same instant/auto update.

I'm unable to control the number of tweets to be displayed on my Blogger blog's Twitter badge. Is this the bug you mention? I've set the gadget to display 1 tweet, but it displays them all.

my Flickr photostream doesn't display any photos, it's just the heading in the sidebar with a void under the title.

The link in the Blogger widget ONLY opens in the tiny window of the gadget -- not a new window. That renders it totally worthless for following links, unless you right click on the link and open it in a New Window. I can't believe nobody has noticed this.
I have no idea if this is related at all, but I'm not sure where to post it...
Your site looks great and very helpful for someone starting out in the blogging world like me, but every time I come, or change pages here I get a password popup from "Twitter API" that I have to click away every time. VERY distracting...

Tomorrow I am going to take the twitter gadget off my blog since I cannot get my own tweets...only @undefined and I am not going to be very complimentary about your customer service.

Hi there, I'm trying to use your twitter app but it's showing links in white which is a little useless as my page background is white. I've tried over riding this but unfortunately it seems to be hard coded. Is there any way to make links in the twitter feed white?

That's a bit harsh, she's probably really busy and this gadget is free....I would understand if you paid for it but I'm sure that's not the case. This site has so much content it's really useful.
Although I would like to know how to change my twitter gadget links from white to a colour of my own choosing..when you have time...:)
