I'm curious to learn which type of Blogger templates are most popular among Blogger Buster readers.

Do you prefer to customize the design of your blog using the new Template Designer? Perhaps you're happier to use a third-party (free or paid) template, or have edited the HTML to create a design which is unique to you?

  1. I selected "Default/Older Style Blogger template," but I edited the CSS/HTML code to make that older style template special to my needs. Still, I consider it just a customized version of the old Washed Denim template.

  3. I use the Template Designer but not with any of the backgrounds that are provided. They are too large and slow the blog down too much!

  4. I started with a third party template and have modified it to my liking (and to fix problems). I mostly work with the CSS but have fiddled with some of the XML as well. I always like to learn more about working with my template.

  5. I wonder, of course, how much this poll is slanted by the fact that people who have subscribed to the RSS feed for this blog (and thus, most likely to see the poll) are people likely to have used templates made available here?

  11. I am happy using the Minima Blogger template. Too many blogs look like the dog ate a salad sandwich and then threw up on Uncle Terry's paisley couch.

  12. I am using the 'simple' new Blogger template (http://onthem104.blogspot.com) but I have tweaked it a bit to make it less in your face, I have a lot of stuff on the sidebar so less is more .. BUT on my other blog I have nothing but photographs and so I used the same template but added a little of their header abstract to give it some color. http://all-throughmyeyes.blogspot.com

  14. I used to design my own or use custom templates but the new Blogger designs are great! I've always loved the multi column layouts so I'm happy I can finally have them on Blogger without hours of tweaking and testing...

  15. I use the basic Minima template, but I’ve customized the heck out of it to create something I really think is unique to fit my needs. So, I’m not sure if that fits under “Default/Older Style” or “designed my own” …

For your poll, I answered Blogger Template Designer, but I have many blogs, some are the old templates but heavily edited, for my main blog, I changed over to the Blogger Template Designer, but again I edited it, changing the background to my own image (before THEY made that a feature). I am in the process of changing my other blogs over to the new designer.

  24. I always prefer Third Party Templates. There are plenty of them available for free too that are really cool and nice looking.

    I don't like Default/Older Style Blogger template they are not much good looking and appealing to readers.
